Course Outline
Students should commence this course a term before they begin Mathematical Methods units 1&2 at school. This enables students undertaking our course to learn and practise all the required content in advance of when they learn it at school. As a result all our students have a great advantage when preparing for school tests and exams.
All T2Maths students are required to sit regular tests. This provides the best possible preparation for sitting tests and exams at school.
The structure of the course is as follows:
One lesson per week over four 10 week blocks. Classes commence early in term 4.
Each class runs for 1.25 hours.
Approximately once every two weeks all students will sit a 20 minute test based on work covered in previous classes. The test is marked by the teacher and returned the following week.
Students are provided with an appropriate amount of homework at the end of each class. These questions are designed to consolidate new content. In addition there are also homework questions designed to challenge and provoke deeper understanding.
Towards the end of the course lessons are dedicated to revision for the final exams. As part of this process students are given numerous opportunities to sit full mock exams.
Overall, the structure of our course provides students with the greatest opportunity to achieve their very best in Mathematical Methods units 1 and 2.
